NATYA DANCE THEATRE is CELEBRATING its 30th ANNIVERSARY SEASON
Please join us in celebrating the dance arts of India and take this opportunity to meet scholars, master teachers, and artists who brought the art forms to the forefront.
Natya Dance Theatre Presents:
DANCE INDIA : Choreographing Traditions
"Dance India: Choreographing Traditions," an international conference and festival combining performances, panels and workshops, September 7-10.
What opportunities and challenges do dancers and choreographers face as they move across borders?
What strategies are available for examining and developing traditions in transition?
This event combines performances, panels and workshops as we explore questions of tradition.
"We as the next generation need to be grounded in our past so that we can address the future, and this is an opportunity for us to meet the leaders of our tradition, the ones who are able to teach us so much about this great art."
