Hema Rajagopalan, Founder and Artistic Director
Hema Rajagopalan is a Bharata Natyam dancer, teacher and choreographer of international reputation. She is the founder and artistic director of Natya Dance Theatre, a professional touring company and school that has specialized in Bharata Natyam for more than 35 years. Krithika Rajagopalan, Co-Artistic Director
Krithika Rajagolpalan is a dancer, master teacher and choreographer who began her dance training under world-renowned practitioners Hema Rajagopalan and Padma Bhushan Kalanidhi Narayanan. She is trained in Gyrokenesis ® and Gyrotonic ®, which she utilizes as a training method for Bharata Natyam dancers. She is also trained in the art of Kalaripayattu (Indian martial arts) and yoga. Dana Horst Sullivan, Managing Director
Dana has worked in nonprofit administration for over 15 years in event production, audience services, fundraising, and general management. After working at The Southern Theater in Minneapolis, MN, she pursued her graduate work and received an MBA and MA in Arts Administration from the University of Cincinnati. She has worked with nonprofits including Creative Partners (an administrative consortium of Blair Thomas & Co., eighth blackbird, Lucky Plush Productions), Lifeline Theatre, Just The Beginning Foundation, The Southern Theater, and consulted for New Millennium Orchestra, the New Colony Theatre, and Rush Hour Concerts.
