Natya Dance Theatre Academy
It is our mission to teach comprehensive bharata natyam dance theatre to each new generation of students, according to the spirit and authenticity of this ancient art form.
The Natya Dance Theatre Academy offers ongoing, comprehensive pre-professional Bharata Natyam training for beginner through professional levels. In addition to classes, students take part in annual recitals and local community performances. In some instances, advanced-level students are afforded the opportunity to perform along with the professional Company in order to hone skills and gain experience.
The Natyaratna Diploma Course takes 10-12 year to complete. Students are given individualized support during their arangetram preparation year, and continue to be supported as artists and people whether they choose to continue into a professional dance career or wherever their life’s path may take them.
It is our conviction that every student can become a dancer of substance; that each student has unique abilities that can be cultivated into honed skills.
